For those looking for mountain views, it's hard to beat Fairview Canyon and Skyline Drive. The higher elevations provide incredible overlooks, winding mountain roads, and expansive views of the surrounding valleys. One of our favorite spots in the area is the Fairview Overlook, which offers panoramic views of the valley below and beautiful scenery in nearly every direction. Several nearby pullouts and scenic areas provide equally stunning backdrops, making this area an excellent choice for engagements, bridals, family photos, and portraits. During the summer and fall months, the area offers some of the most dramatic scenery in Sanpete County.
Gunnison Reservoir
The Gunnison Reservoir provides a variety of beautiful water views and mountain views especially during sunrise and sunset. The shoreline, surrounding vegetation, and open skies create a peaceful atmosphere that works well for couples, families, and portrait sessions. It's one of the lesser-known photography locations in Sanpete County and can provide a completely different look from other locations throughout the area.
Palisade State Park
Palisade State Park offers a unique combination of water, trees, and mountain views that make it a beautiful location for photography throughout the year.
